D7Winter Driving Course

Set over a full day or two half days, the D7T Winter Driving Course provides a unique opportunity to properly get to grips with snow and ice driving. The course is carefully tailored to those who regularly enjoy skiing in France but are concerned about treacherous Alpine roads and difficult conditions. It includes both theory and practical exercises to ensure drivers are properly equipped to drive confidently in the most challenging conditions. There will be time to discuss topics fully and develop your skills both in-car and over a coffee or lunch break.

The D7T Winter Driving Course covers:

  • Understand tyres and grip (including winter tyres)
  • Skidding – wheelspin, braking, understeer and oversteer
  • Correct technique for safe descent from the mountains
  • How to avoid getting stuck
  • Understand vehicle safety systems – ABS, TCS, ESP etc.
  • Reducing risk in traffic during low grip situations
  • Car & driver preparation for low temperatures

Your DRIVE 7TENTHS driver coach will structure the session(s) to maximise your progress yet keep fatigue to a minimum. Why not invest in your safety, sharpen your skills and develop genuine confidence for winter conditions?!
